Amber was elected as Member of Parliament for Hastings and Rye in May 2010. Between 2010 and 2012 she was a member of the Environment Food and Affairs Select Committee. In 2012 she was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer
Amber was at University in Edinburgh where she studied history. She then joined an American investment bank and worked in New York and London, before moving into venture capital – particularly focusing on helping small businesses expand and raise money to help with their development plans. Professionally, she then moved into specialising in recruitment and started writing for financial publications small companies, financing and recruitment.
