Russ Edwards

Project Director, Clarion Housing Group. Former Design and Technical Director - Residential, Lendlease Europe

Russ joined Lendlease in 2017, as Design & Technical Director – Residential, and is tasked with ensuring quality across the residential portfolio, research and development and the development of Lendlease’s ‘Design for Manufacture & Assembly’ (DfMA) and off-site housing strategies in the UK and Europe.

Prior to joining Lendlease, Russ spent 4 years with innovative affordable housing developer Pocket Living as Design Director. Whilst at Pocket, he initiated their pioneering use of volumetric off-site housing. Russ is also a qualified architect with over 15 years in award winning architectural practice, including 8 years with RIBA Stirling Prize winning practice de Rijke Marsh Morgan Ltd (dRMM), with notable projects including Plot N26 at East Village (the Athletes’ Village for the 2012 Olympics), Trafalgar Place and Phase 1 of the Battersea Power Station regeneration projects.

Russ has been a visiting tutor/critic at the University of Portsmouth and Kingston University Schools of Architecture, and is currently serving as a trustee with ‘action-learning’ housing charity Commonweal Housing.
