Sharon Hague

Sharon was appointed Vice President of Pearson Qualifications Services and Executive Director on the Pearson Education Limited Board in January 2014. She is responsible for the development and delivery of Pearson UK’s portfolio of qualifications and assessments including the National Curriculum Tests (NCT) contract.

Sharon was educated at a state school in Essex and graduated from Oxford. Sharon then trained as a teacher and taught in schools in Essex and Hertfordshire for 8 years as well as working for Edexcel as an A level examiner. Sharon joined Pearson in January 2000 and, over the past 15 years, has held a variety of posts including Qualification Development and Assessment Director, Head of General Qualifications Assessment and Quality Manager for the NCT programme.

Sharon is also a mentor on the 30% programme, which aims to encourage more women into senior leadership and Board level roles.
