Simon Gleeson

Simon Gleeson is a senior partner at Clifford Chance, a global law firm based in the City of London, and specialises in banking and financial markets. His experience includes advising governments, regulators and public bodies as well as banks, investment firms, fund managers and other financial institutions on a wide range of legal issues. He is described by all of the major legal directories as one of the world’s leading experts in financial services and banking, capital markets and derivatives. He is one of the leading advisors to the UK financial services industry on Brexit.

Simon has lectured at Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge and Edinburgh Universities, and at King’s College London, the LSE and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary Westfield London. He has been elected a Visiting Fellow of All Souls College Oxford.

He is author of Gleeson on the International Regulation of Banking (3rd ed, 2018) and The Legal Concept of Money (2018).
