Toby Baxendale

Toby Baxendale (www.tobybaxendale.com) built from nothing , the UK’s largest fresh fish processor / supplier (Direct Seafoods / Seafood Holdings) to the UK’s food service sector and sold it at the end of 2010 to a large global conglomerate .

He now invests in supporting other entrepreneurs building their businesses and cultivating talent . Fish supply companies still form the back bone of the portfolio companies , there is also the start of a restaurant group revitalising the fish and chip shop sector with a quality fish offer and “posh fish and chips,” but others such as the UKs fasted growing bike company and a USA based invitro diagnostic business also feature in this increasingly diverse portfolio.

Via the Cobden Centre educational charity , that he co founded , Baxendale supports the promotion of the “Austrian School” of economics into particularly the UK mainstream economic debate. A number of articles have also been written and published in academic journals.

For 6 years he served his community being a magistrate .

As an multiple Ironman triathlete , he has attended 2 x World Championships for the 70.3 distance and races still each year.

Being a father of three children , life is busy in all respects!
