The sessions will take place on Thursday evenings from 4-6pm, from 20 April – 29 June.

What to expect

City as Studio is Modern Art Oxford’s artist led project for young people. The Thursday evening sessions will run throughout the year, focus on developing your creative practice, building a portfolio, and exploring paths to exciting creative careers, in a fun and relaxed environment. You’ll work with professional artists and develop your artistic voice working collaboratively with other young artists in Oxfordshire.

No previous art experience necessary, just an open and curious mind.

“As cliché as it sounds, just have fun. Everyone is nervous at first but after a few sessions you’ll really feel that sense of community.” – Words of advice from a young artist who attends our Thursday sessions regularly
